After the Oath Taking Ceremonies, the LUVWI Provincial and Municipal Chapter Officers continued their task for the betterment of the Women in La Union. As the saying goes, “Health is Wealth”, health concern of LUVWI members were then answered by the conduct of a Women’s Health Seminar in coordination with La Union Medical Society, La Union Chapter and the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society, Northern Luzon was also undertaken in every municipality. A lecture on common diseases of women and the prevention were discussed by obstetricians from the Philippine Gynaecological Society. Not only were they given lecture on Health prevention but also some members were offered free pap smear and medical check-up. This was scheduled last July 23, 2010 – August 26, 2010.

          LUVWI is not only concerned with physical health but also spiritual enrichment of the members. A prayer rally has been conducted in cluster of three (3) barangays in the city and in every town. .  A mass is conducted and the Rosary prayer is recited by the different attendees. Family values are also inculcated during the homily. This activity was done during the  month of September,2010
